Hello to ASW15 owners
« on: 15 January 2010, 20:45 »
I have S/N 15152 (non-B). I fly in New Jersey, USA. The 15 is my first glider and even though its a little old I think its one of the best values out there. They are currently selling for about $14,000 US.

In spring and fall I keep it at "The Ridge" in Pennsylvania, one of the best places in North America for ridge/wave/thermal soaring. Flights of 1000K are almost commonplace when the wind is blowing the right way. The best I've done is an official 300K but I did twice in the same flight. The log books show that a previous owner did his 500K more than 30 years ago from the same airport. My goal for this spring is to repeat the task.

Hi Mike,

Welcome back.

Please keep us informed about your 500K task attempt. Do post your flights on the OLC?

Ciao Johan
