Can I play, too?
« on: 15 January 2010, 22:31 »
Before I bought my present glider, I was looking at/for an ASW-15B. There were a couple of other planes I was keeping an eye out for, and as luck has it, one of those popped up first.

I would like to continue to participate here, because my glider is VERY similar to the ASW-15 series in a lot of ways, but there were only about 50 built. (There are only 7 registered in the US).

I was hoping I could play here, too, since any ASW-17 website is going to be pretty sparse, even if everybody signs up! ... but I thought I'd ask first- some people might not like a bunch of photos of other types begin to encroach.

The ASW-17 and the ASW-15 have a lot in common- the balsa thing, an offset tow hook (not as much, though), and of course, the  "W". There is a distinct family resemblance in the tail configuration, and to me, the overall impression.

I'll wait for a response before I start loading a lot of pics.
