What is the difference between the A and B version?
« on: 10 January 2010, 11:13 »
First of all there is no "A" version (Never fly the A version of anything  ;) ). The first version is appearing with a fixed wheel and no water ballast in conformity with the then Standard Class rules. With the modification of the Standard Class rules to allow water ballast and retractable gear, Schleicher fitted for the B version a retracting gear, installed 38 kg./ 83 lb. tanks in each wing and strengthened keel, lengtened cockpit, larger rudder and increased all-up weight.
