Elevator Bellcrank ASW 15
« on: 15 April 2007, 10:05 »
Hello again, another question. Concerning the AD years ago on the elevator bellcrank. My plane has been undergoing the annual inspections on this for years without actually having to make the fix. I have the kit for this job and was curious how many of us have had an A&P do this on their glider? If it was not prohibitively expensive. I do know they must cut into the vertical fin.

Very weird, I thought the AD was manditory, so how come your annual inspections are ok?

I assume you mean with an A&P a certified technician? In that case, the former owner fixed it by a certified technician. I don't think you want to make any mistakes with you elevator...

As long as the bellcrank is inspected and checked for cracks. No problems, keep flying.

Yes, I would not perform the work myself.

Any idea as to the cost for this?
