What kind of putty?
« on: 09 January 2007, 07:04 »
Hi all,

We are doing finishing repair on our -15. Do you know what kind of putty has been used during the manufacturing of the -15?

What kind of putty should we use?

Tanks

Hi,

We already did the putty job last month. We repair some crazing in the finish paint between both wing on the fuselage. When we removed the paint, we discover that de crazing was done by the old gel coat under the paint. We also removed the putty under the gel coat. For the new putty, we put a mixt of micro-balloun and epoxy often used for building new fiberglass aircraft.
