minimum weight
« on: 04 October 2006, 04:13 »
hi!
i am about to start soaring on an ASW15, but i have a problem - with the parachute, i still don't weigh 65 kilograms...
Does anyone know how to add ballast, and mostley - how to attach it to the seat so it doesn't slide forward?

I know of a member in our club with a weight problem too. He solved it, by making a bag with two handles. He filled the bag with a layer of lead and a layer of foam (for sitting comfort :) ). He's sitting on top of the bag, with the seatbelt though both the left and right handle, to avoid sliding of the bag while braking or accelarating.

Or you could do a McDonalds diet

Good idea Johan :P

You are very lucky to have this problem because mine has a very low weight limit of 86kg(That's why it was the deal of the year in my country!) Easy to put weight but to remove...another problem. A chance, my partner and I only weight 80kg with our chute.
Picture below is a souvenir from Baie St-Paul (Quebec, Canada) during slope flight last weekend. :)
