Does anyone know of an ASW-15 canopy ejection where the pilot was hit by the canopy?

Has there ever been a Roger Hook modification or is there any need?

Prior owner removed the canopy compass and installed a standard compass on the instrument panel.   Looks like it might interfere with ejecting the canopy if one needed too.

Maybe a photo of your cockpit, will make your question more clear. Since dashboard layout is not standard.

I dont think this is the biggest hazard when this situation occurs. In theory the canopy shall come loose at the front and wil be kept in place by the pin  at the rear. The wind wil get hold of it and most likely it wil rotate up and backwards whitout causing any risk for the unfortunate pilot having to leave his beautiful ASW 15, hoping his parachute is doing its job.
