As a newcomer (with two syndicate partners) to the ASW15a, can any of you more experienced pilots please provide advice on how it handles in rough air - especially approach control and flare.

can't think of any bad things to say, I have landed in a 25mph 90 cross no more prob's than any glass ship.  the tail flip's up in rough thermals some time's apart from that it's a very nice to fly
may all your landings be smooth

Yeah same here I just had my longest flight in a 15 on saturday (a mighty 2 hours) in fairly rough thermals and there was no bad things at all!
Also it was around 20 knot wind and the landing was ok too. go and enjoy your flying
