Canopy
« on: 13 April 2005, 21:42 »
Does anybody now of a mod that can be carried out on the canopy so that it can be hinged in some way rather than having to come off completely?
Any help on this would be good

Sorry, I said that the hing was at the font. It is in fact in the back of the canopy, I will see if I can sort some photos for you Joshy, but may take a bit of time

OH BOY!!!
I would be very interested in seeing pictures and any specs that might fall out of this conversation. I for one would love to modify my glider, if possible just for the conviniance and safty of the canopy. Please keep us all informed of any information pertaining the hinged canopy.

Thanks,

Korey

Hallo chris15b,

Early 2003 I was offered an ASW 15B with the canopy hinged to the
right, same as Standard-Cirrus.
The glider had a German registration D-6869 (Werk-Nr. 15436) en was sold in Germany, by Herr Mensing Bernhard.

Perhaps you can mail Mr. Mensing on Mensing-Bernd@T-Online.de
to find out who bougth the glider.
The new owner must have the invoice of the works done in 2001, that
costed about 1750.00 € at the time.

Surely there are other ways to find out who owns D-6869 at this time.

Good luck,

andvdeun

If Korey does his  I'm  doing mine.  Hey K  I have my right wing completely done and home. Left one in the shop again for final block sand and buff.  The right one looks great.  Did you ever find out abo the cement on your patch?  That is one of my last things.  I just got the gap seal kit from wings and wheels, did you do the bottoms of your ails also?
