Thanks for the info Johan.  I am now in process of grinding off all the gelcoat from the horizontal stabs  Then per Eastern Sailplanes  recomendation I am usint Simtec's Polyester filler primer,then probably a urathane but I don't know for sure what top coat I want.  The info you sent seems to indicate both.

Maybe you could keep us informed. A small logbook of your advances and problems would be great. Maybe some pictures too?
