Hi Shane,

I just ordered a canopy from Todd. I was hoping to get someone to install it but it looks like I might have to do the work myself. Did you ever cut out your window and, if so, what did you use to do it and how well did it work? Do you have any additional tips that may help me from screwing it up?

Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick, I still have not cut my window I am planning to work on that soon, Make sure you work out a way to keep the frame in shape while you attach the glass the frame is really flexible and it's hard to make sure it stays in shape.

Hi Shane,

My plan is to devise a way to attach the canopy to the frame with the frame attached to the glider. I saw a You-Tube video of it done that way I just have to figure out how to make it work.

That's how I did it the second attempt I dd run a brace from the front of the frame to the rear to stop the rear of the frame from pulling in.

Hello Fellow Canopy builders. I have been waiting for several weeks for a Canopy from Todd in Florida. He promises this week. My plan is to screw some cross braces through the top of the canopy frame that will hold the shape and then put it on horses as Todd recommends.
He is very helpfull.
What are you doing about the sliding window???

I was able to cement my canopy back together so I won't replace the canopy until Winter and will be looking for information from those of you that go before me!

By the way, when did you order your canopy? I sent Todd the check two weeks ago and he hasn't  deposited it yet.

Todd was slow and I called him weekly to follow up until he sent it also took forever to cash the check. It seems to be more of an organisation thing than anything. He was always friendly just a little confused? at times.  :-\

That's great news Rick it looks wonderful  :) I'm glad it looks like we have found a source of canopies to keep these ships going.

Yes, and one that doesn't break the bank.

Have you installed your window yet?
