Johan

Sorry to see you are selling your '15' are you going on to another glider?
Will you keep site going?
This site has been an enormous help to me while i have been working on FOB, she is nearly ready to fly, (inspector has paperwork) and i want to thank anyone who has replied to my posts, especially you  :)
hope the site can keep going, although '15' pilots are obviously not a very chatty bunch, they obvously visit site as there are always plenty of views on most topics

Hi Gill,
Sorry to see you are selling your '15' are you going on to another glider?
Sadly, it's like I said in my ad: a lack of time. Two little kids, a 1,5 hour drive to the airfield and my own business; it's hard to combine that with owning, maintaining and flying a glider. Anyway, it's a very hard decision to make to sell my loved 15. (BTW. I won't quit with gliding)

I was planning to make an announcement, but you beat me. I will keep the site running. The site is running on my own server; so there are little costs involved.

As I probably won't own a 15 in the near future, I think it's time that someone else steps up as a frontman. Tasks are: approve new members (scan for spammers), reviewing posts and uploads. (say 15 minutes work a week).
Something for you?

Johan, what a pity!!!
Anyway, I fully understand you, since my gliding carrer has been affected for many years by the very same issues (two kids, hard work, gliding field not so near home). Family and work come first to any other activity, expecially those time demanding as gliding. (Curiously, that's why I decided to buy my '15': when it will be flying  ;), I won't have to deal with the limitations of the club's life .... At the moment, a dream yet to come)
But, good news that the site will stay alive.
As I always say to my mates, as far as I know, the '15' is the only glider, together with the Standard Cirrus, that still counts on a web site held and animated by passionate fans.
Unfortunately, I can't help with the administration ... it is definitely not my field ...
Have a good time, Johan, most of all with your kids, and don't quit flying if you can...

Really understand your situation, we had to give up gliding (30 years ago  :o) due to small children and living more than 3 hours drive away, and am just back in last 6 years - things changed a bit!! So if you can at least keep flying even occasionally it's worth it

As for administrators tasks, remember i am the person who couldn't download the logo  :-[
