AD 84-20-01 elevator bellcrank
« on: 13 December 2011, 00:33 »
Can someone tell me what the mod to the elevator bellcrank looks like.  I am doing an annual on a 15B.  The logbook indicates that the mod was accomplished years ago, however IA's continue to sign off as accomplishing the reinspect. I would like to put the reinspect to bed, if infact the mod has been done.

Here is a drawing of the crank showing the modification by adding a long piece of tubing (item #1 in the drawing) to the aft side of the actuating crank tube.  The other two variants I and II are original tubes and they do not constitute the mod to the crank.  The tech not 22 explains all including the structural work that accompanies this mod.
