And so I got to try this awsome thing!
« on: 06 May 2011, 13:24 »
Last weekend I did my first two flights in the ASW15. Two days ago, I also managed to do my first landout in the 15. What an AWSOME glider!  :D
I'm used to flying around in a K-8b and PW-5, so I can't understand what bad glideratio people are mentioning. It seems fantastic too me. And in good conditions with the 15's awsome feeling, I easily passed a Discus b out on my first XC flight. 8) And hell, it goes up like a K-8! It's so comfortable to circle at low altitudes in narrow thermals. Thus, makes the 15 perfect for flying were I fly in Western Norway.
In the beginning, the rudder/ailerons coordination felt weird. There was no force on the stick and pedals, but it was awsome when I got used to it.
Always happy flying!

Cheers!
Kristoffer
