Tilting canopy & instrument panel

The guys from glidinglabs have created a tilting canopy & instrument panel solution for the ASW15.
Looks really nice. This clearly solves the biggest issue for ASW15 owners.
Time to talk to my bank manager......

One of modificated ASW-15 is ex D-3758 (now OK-3758) - youngest 15 :)

Increase of weight is about 1.5-2 kg only, increase of usability much more :)

All is working great with no problems after cca 150 hours in the air...

@ Jan,

I am trying to get in touch with those guys of glidinglabs. Till now I didn't get a reply on my questions. Maybe you can help me:
* How much time did it take for the glidinglabs boys to install the modification?
* In what city is their repair shop situated?

Both questions are related: I have to take some time off my work to get there and back and the time those guys need to do the job.

Hallo Johan,

It was about 1 month, but glider was in Hodkovice (LKHD) through winter. (I did not need it :-) )

Glidinglasbs is situated in Hodkovice LKHD or Raná LKRA, as it just fits :-)

Hi Horac,

Thanks for the info; Hodkovice is the closest by. I assume they don't need a month to do the job...

Cheers Johan

Hey pilots,
does anyone know how they got it certified / aproved by EASA?

What was the price for the modification roughly?

Can you do some oft the work on your own and still get it aproved?

Best Regards, Max-I
