EOS adventures

And so be it!
After a long time search, I'm the owner of an ASW 15, my first glider:
it's s.n. 15106 - registration mark I-NOIR!
Always privately flown (it's been in famous hands at the time), no accidents nor repair, under 1,300 flght hours.
It will be based in Rieti, coming from Calcinate del Pesce, where is located
now, as soon as I'll manage to recover it.
Her call sign is, in my mind, EOS, the greek goddess of dawn, Aurora in
italian, a dearest name for me.
Just a few months to build some confidence, autumn and winter weather
permitting, and it will be my Eos adventures....
Nice flights to all of you,
Giancarlo

Giancarlo,

Congratulations with your ship! I wish you many happy and safe flights.

Please keep us updated with your adventures of EOS. Some picutures would be nice, the surroundings of Rieti are a delight!

Thank you Johan!

I really appreciate your contribution, as well as the interventions of many other ASW15's fans, on this site.

Having a place where experience with the ship are and and can be shared it's been one of the drivers of my choice for the ASW15 (another one is her still outstanding beauty).

Hope to post some pictures soon, but the first adventure is going to be the travel from her old to her new home (by trailer, not in flight, due to the weather). It's more than 630km to be done in november between rain, snow and car traffic....

I'll be back soon with the report and, hopefully, with some winter flight picture above Rieti.

Nice flights

Giancarlo

Never mind the snow, rain, ice and bears. It's the Italian traffic that scares the hell out of me   ;D

Hi to all!
It's been a long journey  :), but in the end ...
she's in Rieti!!!
Here are two quick shots of her just arrived (sorry for the poor quality, but my camera's battery went dead, so I was forced to use my cell phone).
Soon for the first adventure....
Giancarlo
